Traditionally associated with brainless humanoids, the term “Meat Puppet” has been reclaimed by us to represent the embodied, raw and self-aware artist.
The Meat Puppet Company was established by Saudamini Kalra, Archana Patel and Samridhi Dewan, in 2014, with the desire to make visually engaging original works that inspect human behavior and cultural paradigms.
Since 2014, we have been performing in various venues across the country and internationally and our work has also been shown at educational institutes and at festivals. We completed the SMART program (the first ever strategic management course for theatre groups in India) and toured in Dubai with our tongue-in-cheek portrait of the acting industry in our play "The Auditions."
